How do I select what designs and sizes I want for my rewards?

Surveys will be sent via email after the end of the campaign. There you’ll be able to set your shipping address, and choose the size and design for each article of clothing in your pledge. If you added extra money into your pledge to get additional items, you’ll be able to select the sizes and designs for those here as well. There will be an update posted to the campaign when surveys go out so that backers know when to look for the survey in their emails.

Will these items be available after the campaign?

Yes! As long as the campaign is successful and fully funded, all the items in the campaign will be available for sale in our online shop and in person at conventions after the initial funding period is over.

If I back a tier for two skirts or two pants, do they both have to be the same design, or the same size?

Nope! You’ll be able to choose the design and size for each article of clothing in your pledge when the surveys go out after the end of the campaign.

What if I want to pledge for one skirt, but also want a pin?

All you need to do is change your pledge amount in the dollar amount box to reflect the total of all the items you’d like to get. Please check out our Add-On section above for examples of how to do so! If it’s not 100% correct, don’t worry, you’ll be able to adjust it after the end of campaign, as we will be using BackerKit to do post-campaign reward management.

I’m not a member of the LGBT community, but I really like these designs. / I like some of the designs of the identities that don’t apply to me. Can I still wear them?

Absolutely! We’d love it if you want to show your support for the LGBT community / your LGBT siblings by wearing any of our designs.

What are the clothes made of? If I have allergies, should I be concerned?

All of our clothing is made of an 88% polyester/12% spandex blend, which allows for the stretchiness and vibrant printing. If you have an allergy to either of these products, please be careful.

Will you be adding [x] flag?

We’d like to be able to offer designs for every flag right off the bat, but that’s a lot of funds to raise! We’ve been selling pride lanyards and pride enamel pins for a few years, and these initial six designs are the identities we got requests for and sold the most. We’re hoping that the popularity of these first six will be enough to reach our main goal, and we can then add clothing designs for more identities if we reach stretch goals beyond that. We’ll be polling both our backers and our followers to see what designs we should add on. If you’d really like a specific identity, there is a pledge tier that allows you to work with our designer to create one for you that we may also make available for sale!

Will you make midi skirts/shorts/t-shirts/etc of these designs?

We want to keep our initial goal achievable, so we’ve limited it to jogger pants and skater skirts to start. We’d love to offer more clothing types down the line! But clothing is expensive to produce and to ship, especially in as many identities as we’d like to include. If this campaign is successful, in the future we may run other, separate kickstarters for more clothing types - so we’d love your support now to hopefully make that happen!

What are the washing instructions for the clothes? / Are the clothes machine washable? / Will they shrink?

Both skirts and pants are machine washable on low heat, and can also be put in the dryer at low heat or tumble dry. To make them last longer, we recommend hang drying the skirts especially. But we have washed our personal clothing (of other designs available [in our shop]< link to fhf dot com) many times and they’ve held up very well!

Because they are made of synthetic materials (polyester/spandex blend), they will not shrink in the wash like natural fibers like cotton tend to do.

I’m unsure of what size I should order! What if I order a size that doesn’t work for me? Help!

Since the waist bands are stretchy and more than one size may potentially fit you, please check out our Size Charts & Model Gallery[link] to view the exact inches each size and clothing type stretches to, and to also see detailed, labeled photos of our different sized models wearing different sizes so you can choose what would work best for you.

We do offer exchanges if it ends up not being the size you needed, we just ask that you pay shipping both ways, so please try your best to measure yourself/get the measurements of who you may be ordering for if you’d like to avoid the extra shipping charges!

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
